Job Description:
- Review and track software license lifecycles including Quotes, Purchases, Entitlements, Renewals, Implementations, etc.
- Work with agencies and internal COT groups to identify software renewal dates and automate notifications as necessary to ensure all parties are made aware of needed actions.
- Respond to requests from end users, managers, developers, and team members for specific IT Software Asset Management data information.
- Assist with annual licensing True-ups and work with all respective parties to identify licensing levels and compliance status.
- Assist in conducting and reporting software asset reconciliation and audit activities on a timely basis, including financial, licensing, warranty, and maintenance/support contract information.
- Assist the SAM Architect to track and maintain copies of software licenses, warranties, maintenance agreements, and vendor contracts.
- Works closely with the client Contracting officer to ensure compliance with software life cycle activities.
Skills:
- High-Level Understanding of Technology.
- This person needs to keep current with technology changes in the world to be able to understand the licensing implications of technology projects within your organisation.
- The person does not need to be able to install servers but does need to understand clustering options, virtual technologies, cores versus sockets, and the basic functionality of the software and technology deployed.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential.
- Ability to deal tactfully with vendors, suppliers, and contractors who provide a broad spectrum of products and services.
- Strong Data Analytics skills The candidate should possess the necessary skills and experience in performing in-depth Data Analytics as it pertains to the various elements of Software Asset Management.

- Tableau.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments for Federal, State, or Local governments or related private sector entities.
- Proven researching ability.
- Bachelor s Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field or work experience equivalent.
- 2 years of direct work experience in a software management or purchasing and procurement capacity, specifically related to software purchasing.
Desired Skills:
- IT Asset Management and Discovery Tools experience ServiceNow a plus.
- Experience interpreting licensing terms and conditions (ULA s).
- Asset Management professional certifications.
- Solid working knowledge of current IT technologies, including clustering, virtual and physical server platforms, as well as cloud and on-site hosting environments as they pertain to software licensing.
