Amick Brown is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician for our direct client.
Location: Sunnyvale, CA
Duration: 8 months
Estimated pay range: $27 - 33 per hour per client contract and candidate skills, experience and work location.
Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Engineering Technician: Assists with all aspects of medical device instrument builds, including procurement of material, inspection of materials and subassemblies, rework of components, assembly, troubleshooting, and repair of prototype instruments.
- Assembles devices per engineering design and instructions.
- Assists engineers to fabricate and modify components using standard manufacturing processes and equipment, such as grinders, soldering station, and laser welder.
- Supports the debugging and performance testing of devices.
- Performs component and assembly inspections using standard metrology equipment, such as calipers and optical measurement systems.
- Collects, records, and reports measurement and test data.
- Prepares prototype instruments and accessories for benchtop testing and pre-clinical lab evaluations.
- Supports the organization and maintenance of engineering lab and equipment.
- Prior experience working in an FDA regulated environment strongly preferred.
