DLP STAFFING is currently accepting applications for the position of:
Position Title: Field Service Technician Location: Laredo, TX
| FLSA: Non-Exempt | Hire Pay: DOE | Classification: Full-time
JOB SUMMARY:
The Field Tech candidates must have experience in one of these aptitudes (electrical, welding, mechanical, or electronics) or experience in one of these areas and must have at least 3 years of experience. The candidate will be servicing customers by installing and servicing systems and products.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Service existing customers, read and understand service work orders, troubleshoot, and test to identify problems and repair.
- Plan daily travel, organizing parts and components. Daily time tracking.
- Document installation, service, and repairs.
- Communication with customers on repairs and preventive repairs.
- Update knowledge based on the latest industry products and procedures.
- Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
- Receives supervision from the Manager.
- The position has no formal assigned supervisory responsibility or authority.
- Must complete jobs without constant supervision.
Required Experience:
- Electrical experience: the candidate will work on new installations, and we do repairs on actual equipment like motors (installed on gates, on entrance doors, etc.).
- Welding experience: the candidate will work on new installations of dock levelers, and pit levelers, manufacture security doors, etc.
- Mechanical experience: the candidate will work on repairs on any type of dock leveler (edge, pit, vertical, etc).
- Electronics experience: the candidate will work on motors repairs or new installation and if any problems, also troubleshoot with technical support and their own experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions. Working knowledge of, electronic troubleshooting, and mechanical system troubleshooting. Light welding experience. Strong customer service skills, and sound judgment. Report-making skills. Quality workmanship.
ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING POLICY:
This position is subject to the DLP STAFFING, Drug-Free Workplace Policy which includes Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and/or Reasonable Suspicion Testing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, in English and Spanish.
- Must possess a clear police and background history.
Education and Experience:
- Must have a High School diploma or general education degree (GED);
- 3 years' experience
Other :
- Valid Drivers’ License Class C.
