POSITION SUMMARY
The Program Lead, working as part of the YMCA Center team, will help deliver world-class customer service and relationship building skills to create a welcoming environment at the YMCA. Under the direction of the Site Director, the Program Lead is responsible for supporting the delivery of the OST program which i ncludes behavior management and participant safety . The incumbent will also exhibit the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility in all aspects of their work with the YMCA.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Support program, daily curriculum activities, in-service days / holidays in accordance with YMCA philosophy and state licensing requirements
- Implement risk management to provide safety and well-being of all children
- Integrate YMCA character development program into daily programming
- Assist Site Supervisor with parental communications and staff with appropriate interactions with children, including discipline procedures
- Proactively clean and/or repair program areas; maintain supplies and equipment
- Attend all training courses, staff meetings and in-services without exception
- Follow dress code; require staff to adhere with staff shirts, name badge, closed-toes shoes
- Be familiar with the mission statement and core values of the YMCA. Model the core values while working and communicating with other staff members
- Be knowledgeable and supportive of the YMCA Annual Support Campaign, and general procedures and policies, including personnel guidelines, facility access procedures, membership policies, and emergency plans

Regularly required to use a computer for extended periods of time and be able to communicate using a computer and phone/smart device

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and focus
Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 months (460 hours) experience working with children under 13 years of age required ; experience in a youth centered educational learning environment preferred. Verified experience prior to hire
- Exceptional group management, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Experience creating interactive and educational activities, youth development, academic enrichment and arts
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in accordance with location volume and events
- CPR and First Aid certifications required within 30 days of hire
