Job description

JOB TITLE: Mainframe Developer

Remote

LOCATION: In order of preference: 1) Onsite 2) Six State Footprint 3) Remote US working EST hours or Offshore (with bill rate adjusted accordingly)


Support multiple COBOL, JCL batch/CICS, VSAM/DB2, zOS and online applications
Complete various production support activities such as: analyzing, coding, testing, debugging, maintenance and documentation
Manage allocation of time efficiently between multiple project phases
Attend project meetings and report status as needed


Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years' mainframe applications experience working with VSAM DB2 CICS
At least 3 years' hands-on experience with DB2 and CICS required
Experience in creating and deploying stored procedures in DB2.
At least 3 years of experience in software development life cycle.
At least 3 years of experience in Project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.
Experience working on web based applications
In-depth Systems Analysis experience required
Experience with at least one debugging tool
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
May need to work some on-call hours to support application/production.


Nice to have:
Experience in Retail domain.
Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment.
Experience and desire to work in a multi-region delivery environment.
