Alba Vineyard is a family run estate vineyard and winery in the Warren Hills AVA of NJ. A pioneer of high-density viticulture on the east coast we strive to produce world class vineyard driven wines. We focus on growing Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, and Cabernet Franc for still and sparkling wines. Located in the backyard of the country’s best premium wine market we are poised to push the envelope for wine quality and possibilities in an exciting emerging wine region.

Craftsmanship, positive, passionate and driven in the vineyard and the cellar; someone who knows hard work. Looking for a team player to work directly with the family and grow with the business. This will be a dynamic role with plenty of room for growth to the right person who truly has a passion for growing wine. This business is entirely a business of passion, not short-term passion, but a life long journey of continually tested passion.

We are currently looking to fill a full-time winemaking & vineyard position. We are a boutique winery, looking for someone to take ownership of the production process and align with the vision of making true vineyard made wines. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with years of experience and an education in enology and/or viticulture.

Roles and Responsibilities:
o Work in all aspects of winery operations from crush to bottle.
o Clear understanding of premium wine making techniques.
o Must have a fine-tuned palate and confidence in discussing wines.
o Be able to organize wine blending and tasting sessions.
o Maintain and organize current barrel program.
o Work with family to develop long term strategy and quality goals.
o Act as winery ambassador, representing the brand for on and off premise events.
o Must be open to travel 1-3 weeks of year for educational trips and seminars.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Ability to work independently and within a team setting.
o Reliable
o Shares the common vision of the company and is a team player.
o Ability to demonstrate discretion, good judgement, tactfulness and diplomacy.
o Hard working and naturally inquisitive, willingness to conduct various trials to make even small improvements.

Qualifications:
o Degree in viticulture/enology from university or accredited winemaking program.
o Strong written, oratory, and presentation skills.
o Valid Driver’s License and personal transportation.
o Ability to lift and move 50lbs repeatedly.
o Ability to work weekends and long hours.
o Ability to speak Spanish or French a plus.
o Basic computer skills- Excel

Compensation:
o 100k+, with benefits, & bonus, DOE
