General Summary and Purpose:
The Director Information Technology will lead and manage the company's Information Technology department. This position is critical to ensure the information technology operations of the business effectively meet the short term and long-term goals of the organization. This position will leverage best practices while always pushing the boundaries of efficiency further for the company. This position is accountable for the operational excellence, SOX compliance and customer service of the BioLife Information Technology function. This position reports to the CEO.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of IT including service management end-user support, compliance, IT policies, tooling, physical and virtual networks across multiple offices nationwide and cloud environments
- Manage the IT compliance program including regulatory and internal policies and procedures, SOX compliance, reporting requirements, and implementation of controls and enforcement. Will work closely with Cyber Security function around compliance frameworks including (SOX, HIPPA, HITRUST, NIST).Provide timely support of internal and external auditor requests, and work with SOX audit consultants to evaluate and update best practices.
- Support cybersecurity/information security projects and initiatives, team member training, and IT systems security in conjunction with the VP of Cybersecurity and Information Security Officer.
- Ensure IT policies (logical access, change management) are current and followed by the IT team, including auditor requests, and working with external SOX consultants to develop best practices.
- Collaborate with the VP of Cybersecurity and Information Security Officer to evaluate and implement new and emerging technologies to benefit the organization's cybersecurity environment.
- Ensure technology available within the business is efficient and best in class. Drive technology rationalization and continuous business process improvements for IT infrastructure that leverage developments in the industry and serve the needs of the business.
- Assess and continually evaluate the technology needs of the company and set both short- and long-term goals for achieving success in the technology across the business.
- Manage a team of IT professionals including regular 1:1s, career development, hiring and performance reviews.
- Build high performing IT support structure within the business to ensure timely and accurate end user support, physical and virtual IT infrastructure, and application management.
- Leverage organizational goals to set IT direction to enable the organization to attain its goals within the IT Framework.
- Collaborate with Senior Leaders and stakeholders across the business to develop processes and reports to support rigor and compliance to meet business objectives.
- Drive technology rationalization and continuous business process improvements for IT infrastructure that leverage developments in the industry and serve the needs of the business.
- Develop and implement a Master Data Management policy and designing / maintaining complex ERP infrastructure with middleware, including data transformation between systems.
- Increase reliability and improve scalability of the IT infrastructure.
- Oversee a customer-focused team for the Helpdesk function and internal support.
- Manage a team of IT professionals including regular 1:1s, career development, hiring and performance reviews.

Job Requirements:
- Strong technical skills with building and maintaining networks, database management and security. Previous experience working in a SOX 404b public reporting company.
- Demonstrated understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, applications, regulatory compliance and applications.
- Experience working and influencing cross-collaborative teams and stakeholders at all levels of the company.
- Excellent leadership skills, managing a hybrid team of onsite and remote IT team members nationwide
- Track record of innovation and problem solving with demonstrated experience identifying and implementing IT solutions that improve IT customer experience, operational efficiency, and positively impact business outcomes.
- Mastery of server virtualization, Active Directory, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery, Microsoft 365 admin, and security frameworks including NIST and ISO 27001.
- Ability to identify needs and develop annual IT budgets for OPEX and CAPEX.
- Operate with a sense of urgency in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels of the organization.
Job Specifications:
- BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; relevant experience may substitute for education.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT Management with demonstrated experience in a high growth, entrepreneurial organization. Healthcare, biotech, or manufacturing organizational experience is preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience managing people and leading teams.

The US base salary range for this position at full-time is $163,307 - $269,510 per year.
Our salary ranges are determined by position, level, location, and market competitive benchmarks. Individual pay within a level is determined by work location (including geographic pay zone region), job related skills, experience, education, and training.
