Job description
Sev1Tech, LLC (a large business providing IT modernization, cybersecurity, and engineering services) is seeking a driven Proposal Manager to provide support throughout all phases of the RFP and proposal lifecycle (capture, planning, drafting, submission). The Sr. Proposal Manager will work directly with the VP of Growth and management team at our Woodbridge, VA office.
**This position is onsite with agreed-upon telework options**
The Sr. Proposal Manager will be responsible for managing the full proposal process of government solicitations (RFPs, RFIs, Task Order Requests, etc.), and will be tasked with the following to include, but not limited to:
- Lead and manage the proposal process from pre-proposal phase through post-submission.
- Collaborate with Business Development/Capture teams to gain understanding of win strategies and ensure proposal responses include business perspective, key messages, value proposition, and differentiators against competition.
- Review and analyze draft and final RFPs and related documents to create compliant supporting proposal materials.
- Communicate and coach capture teams, writers, and subject matter experts on persuasive writing and proposal best practices.
- Produce and review detailed proposal plans, schedules, outlines, shells, and other documentation (requires skills in Excel, Word, and SharePoint).
- Coordinate and conduct proposal meetings/events (e.g., Kickoff Meetings, Daily Standups, Color Team reviews, etc.), including and preparing advance meeting materials and facilitating discussions.
- Manage writing assignments and receipt of all proposal materials with authors and teaming partners in accordance with the proposal timeline.
- Support strength-based solution reviews and assist Capture teams in developing strength statements.
- Monitor all RFP documents, modifications, requirements, and proposal deliverables.
- Serves as point of contact for all Prime, Subcontractor, and consultant support members (writers, solution architects, graphic designers, etc.).
- Must have Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Business, or related field
- Must have 10 -12 years’ related experience managing large-scale Federal proposals for mid-large businesses
- Must have demonstrated experience with Federal procurement process/regulations and leading large-scale proposal efforts ($100M to $500M+)
Clearance & Citizenship Requirement: Must be able to provide proof of U.S. citizenship; Must be able to obtain a government clearance if needed.
- Formal proposal training certifications preferred (APMP, PMP, etc,)
- Experience managing large IDIQ/GWAC proposal responses, particularly with point-based scoring criteria
- Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills
- Expertise with MS Office suite and PDF programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe. etc.)
- Must be able to give clear, concise directions and organize large volumes of information
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and provide quality products
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed for proposal preparation – possibly including some nights and weekends
