Job description
Northeast Center for Youth & Families, Inc. is seeking a Program Director for their Northeast Area Care Services office. This Program Director is responsible for the effective delivery of multi-disciplinary Foster Care Services within the context of a multi-service Agency as well as the oversight and management of the Outpatient Mental Health Clinic.
The Northeast Area Program Director will perform the following essential functions, including but not limited to:
- collaborate with the VP of Community-based Services and the other Management Team members on the operations of the Agency, as well as the planning, formulation and development of new programs and services
- ensure compliance with the policies and procedures of contracting sources; oversee and maintain appropriate utilization rates for all programs; ensure training of staff in organization’s policies and standards of performance.
- review and approve key materials, such as home studies, treatment plans, incident reports, etc.; delegate responsibility for same as appropriate.
- provide supervision and evaluate the performance of Foster Care management staff; keep abreast of program licensing requirements, oversee contracting processes and ensure compliance with contractual requirements
- Planning, development and implementation of programs and services, including growth and development of clinic services and establishment of guidelines and policies and procedures for client care and administrative functioning.
- Accountable for the adequacy, appropriateness and quality of client care, including diagnostic evaluations, the case review process, and implementation of UR findings. Develops and monitors quality clinical performance indicators, leads the QA process.
- Responsible for hiring and management of staff, including selection, development of job descriptions, staff assignments, and maintenance of a staffing schedule; monitor and manage staff productivity to ensure all staff are meeting productivity expectations.
- Development (in conjunction with the AEC & CFO) and oversight of the annual budget.
- Part of an after- hour’s on-call rotation. (i.e. available to take calls nights and weekends)

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Master’s degree in social work
- Independently licensed Psychologist, Social Worker or Mental Health Counselor (LICSW, LMHC or higher); or license-eligible within six month of hire.
- Five years’ experience managing foster care services
Minimum four years full-time supervised clinical experience subsequent to obtaining the relevant graduate degree, two years of which were in an supervisory/administrative capacity
Minimum two years full-time clinical experience in a multi-disciplinary mental health setting subsequent to meeting the highest level of qualifications for his/her professional field
