Job description

Job Title: Finance, Accounting and Procurement - Procurement Category Manager
Location: Remote
Duration: 3 Months (Possible extension up to 15 Months)

Provides strategic direction for one or more procurement categories which may span across multiple organizations and/or geographies. May be accountable for one or more of the following activities: Category business needs assessment, execution of strategic sourcing activities (including development of RFx, vendor response analysis and contract, pricing negotiations) in line with category plan resulting in formal broad agreements with preferred category vendors, and development of vendor performance management plan for preferred vendors. The role involves leading sourcing engagements with *** stakeholders, delivering strong business cases, and managing projects within ***'s standard sourcing process. It requires maintaining partnerships with Procurement colleagues and liaising with key corporate stakeholders to execute category, program, and sourcing requirements. The role demands a strong growth mindset, leadership skills, knowledge of supplier spend categories, and the ability to execute sourcing within the contracting lifecycle. It also requires understanding of key contract terms, anticipation of market changes, and robust project management skills. The minimum requirements include a BS/BA degree, 5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or contract management, proven cross-functional team facilitation experience, and excellent communication and presentation skills. It is better to have experience in software and cloud services.

Typical Day in the Role
• Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is to support the whole company with purchasing third party service license and cloud services, and to negotiate contracts with suppliers for software and cloud services related projects.
• Key projects: This role will contribute to supporting the whole company with purchasing third party service license and cloud services, and negotiating contracts with suppliers for software and cloud services related projects.
Doing some data analysis, clean up, and compliance issues for some of the programs that the team is working on.
• Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of The contractor will support the whole company with purchasing third party service license and cloud services, and negotiate contracts with suppliers for software and cloud services related projects. Contractor will also do some data analysis, clean up, and compliance issues for some of the programs that the team is working on. Will have to follow the overall process and procedure of the procurement team, and communicate and collaborate with stakeholders, Client, CELA, and suppliers.
The contractor will be flexible to support different time zones, depending on the project stakeholders.
The contractor will work remotely, 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
