My client an excellent Continuing Medical Education Company is actively seeking a Director of New Business Development for a new fulltime permanent opportunity. This position will work with clients and grantors to develop new business opportunities within CE & CME programs that help to educate the defined healthcare professional audience. This company has a variety of offerings that set them apart from other CME companies.
This position requires an individual with strong communication skills (both written & verbal), outgoing, professional, and able to interact with clients, industry professionals and management at all levels. This is a remote - home based position with travel to perspective clients & the corporate office as needed. Compensation is a competitive base salary + commission, PTO, 401k, Health Benefits.

- Identify CME opportunities & partner relationships to strategically extend the reach and diversify grantor base.
- Direct the execution of CME learning activities.
- Develop new relationships in the ever changing CME environment.
- The ability to build and grow business relationships with industry leading managers and executives in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries that will aid in growth
- Excellent staff in place to manage & execute the funded activity through to successful completion.
Requirements:
- Minimum of at least three (3+) or more years of business development experience in a Continuing Medical Education environment is required
- Individuals with more experience urged to apply. Salary is commensurate with experience. This is a base + commission role.
- Selling strategic educational initiatives for CE and certified (CME) Continuing Medical Education activities
- Strong knowledge of CME and fluency in the ACCME essentials, policies, standards, OIG and PhRMA guidelines
- Existing client contacts/ industry relationships that would help you to expand potential new business opportunities
- Collaborate with faculty and KOLs to identify educational needs
- Interface with potential clients for presentations & meetings regarding current educational initiatives/activities
- Established industry contacts to hit or exceed established set revenue goals.
- Works closely with internal staff members to ensure deadlines are met
- Ability to sell CME programs that meet grantors needs (live, print, and online activities)
- Attention to detail
- A college degree
- Excellent client service experience
- Strong ability and understanding of technical science a plus
- Excellent communication, relationship building and team management skills
- Knowledge, understanding and creativity to develop, discuss and explain strategic educational programs.
