Roles and Responsibilities
- Ownership includes both quality assurance and quality control. Includes quality assurance of products, services, manufacturing processes. Includes conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, witness points, etc.
- Author and update quality documents such as control plans (CP), inspection sheets, standardized work instructions, and knowledgeable with process failure mode & effects analysis (PFMEA).
- Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
- In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
- A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Quality, Continuous Improvement.
- At least 1 year of leadership leading teams or projects effectively.
- Ability to use systematic approach to problem solve. (i.e., 8-D, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), component swap, design of experiments (DOE), PDCA, and cause-and-effect diagram to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence)
Desired Characteristics
- 3 years of experience in production quality.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with ability to convey information clearly and inspire a team.
- Ability to analyze complex situations and make informed decisions.
- Knowledgeable with GD&T and print reading.
- Knowledgeable with measurement systems analysis (MSA) tools such as Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility (GRR).
- Knowledgeable with process assessment tools such as SPC & capability indices.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and willingness to learn and grow.
The base pay range for this position is 80,000.00 -85,600 . The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 10% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.
*The company pays a geographic differential of 100%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
