Job description
The Sales Director plays a pivotal role in driving sales growth and strategic revenue objectives. This role involves crafting and submitting RFPs, collaborating with leadership to establish revenue goals, devising, and executing sales plans for revenue enhancement, engaging in lead generation at key events, addressing sales inquiries, fostering operational partnerships, overseeing work orders, and cultivating enduring relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients.
The Sales Director will provide oversight of the sales processes, ensuring alignment with Event Services Group's commitment to delivering exceptional client and employee experiences. This role is crucial in maintaining the company's three-decade legacy in the event industry and is accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily sales operations aligned with company objectives.
- Create and implement strategies to nurture client relationships and drive repeat sales.
- Mentor and motivate the team to exceed sales targets.
- Analyze team performance and market trends for insights.
- Develop strategies for capturing new business opportunities.
- Manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines effectively.
- Foster relationships with internal teams, clients, vendors, and venues.
- Collaborate with operations for smooth event planning and execution.
- Stay updated on event industry trends and address operational challenges.
- Contribute to event design creativity.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams for event requirements.
- Establish production timelines and communicate client expectations.
- Manage operational functions for efficient project delivery.
- Enhance inventory management for improved efficiency.
- Support communication and collaboration among team members.
- Assist in defining event requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Proven track record of success in sales, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in using CRM software and sales analytics tools.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events.
