Job Summary

The Regina Shin Lab is seeking a Research Associate. Research in Shin Lab in Children’s Research Institute at UT Southwestern Medical Center aims to understand the intricate dynamics of intracellular compartments, such as the lysosome and mitochondria, and to uncover novel pathways through which various organelles communicate with each other. We believe that fundamental molecular understanding of how cellular metabolism is regulated is key to understanding how cancer cells and other metabolic disorders reconfigure these intracellular communications for long-term metabolic reprogramming and survival. The Research Associate will play a critical role as the lab manager overseeing general lab organization and maintaining inventories of research supplies. The position will also involve supporting on-going research projects. This position is a great opportunity to gain hands-on lab experience and learn research techniques. We are a new lab aiming to foster a vibrant lab culture of collaboration, support and fun.
