The Maintenance Technician is responsible for accurately troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining vehicles and equipment for our branch in Ankeny and having the vehicles repaired on time. Perform quality routine maintenance as needed. Hours are 10:00 am - 6:00 pm. Other duties include:
- The Warehouse Mechanic is responsible for the repair and maintenance of tools, equipment, and vehicles.
- Analyze malfunctions and repair, rebuild, and maintain construction tools, equipment, and vehicles
- Perform routine maintenance, regularly inspecting and adjusting tools and equipment
- Operate and inspect tools or equipment to diagnose defects
- Examine parts for damage or excessive wear and replace or repair
- Perform work of a quality level and in a productive manner consistent with the company's standards
- Travel to job sites as needed for diagnosis, repair, or maintenance
- Complete service requests and work orders
- Document in Fixx or Samsara for accurate tracking of tool, vehicle, and equipment maintenance
- Maintain a safe and clean shop environment
- Assist Warehouse Supervisor or Coordinator with other warehouse tasks as assigned
Requirements for an Equipment Maintenance Technician:
- High school diploma and at least 1 year experience in general equipment/vehicle repair.
- Must continually adapt to changing technology and repair techniques.
- Ability to demonstrate a respectful and professional demeanor at all times with strong customer service skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to effectively read, speak, and write the English language.
- Ability to use good judgment and problem-solving skills while striving to work safely at all times.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Candidate must be able to work in the United States.
