Job description

Boys Town is seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Manager Infrastructure Operations. This role will have responsibility over critical departments across the enterprise including building management systems, data center operations, and critical power infrastructure and ensures the efficient and reliable operation of these systems. We are looking for a solid communicator, forward thinker and a leader.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Building Management System Oversight:

Manages the building management system, focusing on operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Collaborates with IT and facilities teams to integrate and enhance system capabilities.

Develops policies and procedures to ensure optimal functioning of the building management system.

Data Center Operations:

Oversees daily operations and maintenance of data center facilities, including all switch site locations and IT equipment rooms or areas.

Ensures the high availability, redundancy, and efficient performance of data center and related infrastructure.

Implements environmental controls, security measures, and best practices for energy efficiency in data centers.

Critical Power Management:

Manages uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems and generator operations, including regular maintenance, testing, and emergency protocols.

Monitors and optimizes power usage to ensure efficiency and reliability.

Coordinates with various departments to guarantee uninterrupted power supply and robust system resilience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Demonstrated leadership abilities.

Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and decision-making abilities.

Knowledgeable in the latest technologies and software related to building management, data centers, and power management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or related field required.

Minimum 5 years of experience in managing building management systems, data center operations, and critical power systems required.

Experience in managing technical teams required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Related technical or managerial certifications or degrees preferred.
