Job description

Caring Hearts Homecare is looking to hire a part-time nurse (RN or LPN) as a Prior Authorization Specialist, someone who is self-driven, responsible, organized, and pays attention to details.

• Must be a nurse RN or LPN.
• Must have home care experience.
• Have experience in Prior Authorization submission processes.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Good computer skills.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist in the completion of Prior Authorization document requests.
• Review Prior Authorization documents for completion and accuracy.
• Submit Prior Authorization requests to appropriate insurance companies for approval.
• Track submitted PA requests.
• Audit to ensure PAs are in place for all patients.
• In charge of PA appeals and follow up on any additional requests for documents needed for PA approval.
• Manage and maintain tracking PA tool.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
