Vantage’s latest airport terminal project is the $4.2B development of a new world class international Terminal 6 at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), now underway. The Vantage-led team at JFK Millennium Partners is developing Terminal 6 in two phases, with the first gates opening in 2026 and construction completion in 2028. This new, 1.2 million square foot international terminal on the north side of JFK will feel like a boutique luxury hotel, featuring bright and airy check-in and arrivals areas, NYC-inspired shopping, dining and amenities, premium lounges, and generous seating areas. The redevelopment will transform the guest experience at Terminal 6 while offering numerous opportunities for minority, women-owned (MWBE), service-disabled, veteran-owned (SDVOB) and local business enterprises (LBEs).   

 

THE ROLE

The Integrated Operations Centre (IOC) Coordinator, is responsible for the day to operation of Terminal 7, including gate planning, terminal coordination, trouble-shooting issues, monitoring critical systems, responding to calls from stakeholders, including airlines and dispatching resources as needed as well as conducting terminal and safety inspections.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gate planning, ground to aircraft communications and ramp coordination.
  • Ensuring flight information screens are updated as required and terminal communication.
  • Monitoring terminal activities and takes appropriate steps to mitigate any safety, security or other issues or concerns.
  • Responds to
    • Terminal and airside events including breaches and guest services concerns.
    • Operations Center calls, emails from customers, airport tenants and government agencies.
  • Coordination with on-site government personnel to help resolve concerns relating to terminal operation.
  • Curbside and airside management.
  • Maintaining records of all incidents in the electronic Operations log and analyzes Operations log entries to identify areas for improvement to the overall customer experience.
  • Identifying and reporting any areas of under performance.
  • Monitoring BMS, FAS, SCADA and other systems for alarms, trouble and status as required.
  • Fielding support calls from terminal stakeholders.
  • Creating, managing and tracking the status of work orders in applicable system.
  • Other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the position may be assigned.

 

Education and qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years in an operations, administration or customer service role, preferably in an aviation or airport setting.
  • Experience working effectively in a regulated environment.
  • High school graduation; relevant university or college degree preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications combined with critical thinking skills.
  • Organization and planning skills crucial for multi-tasking while prioritizing and executing tasks.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and diffuse and manage situations.

 

Primary Work Location : Terminal 7 - JFK Airport, NY

 

Employee Status : Regular Full Time

 

Salary Range : $54,000-$75,000 per year

 

Job will remain open until filled.
