Job description

Are you looking for a hands-on position that makes a difference in maintaining a clean and safe environment? We are seeking a Facility Maintenance Custodian to join our team. As a Facility Maintenance Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining scheduled waste pickups along a designated route using forklifts. Additionally, you will ensure that waste is sorted and segregated properly in collection areas, monitor waste levels, and call for pickups when necessary. You will also contribute to exterior site cleanliness by removing debris and garbage, performing general site beautification tasks, and assisting with seasonal and intermittent tasks such as pressure washing and exterior window cleaning.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct scheduled waste pickups utilizing powered industrial trucks along designated routes.
• Sort and segregate waste appropriately in collection areas.
• Monitor waste levels in compactors, dumpsters, and collection areas and call for pickups as needed.
• Maintain exterior site cleanliness by removing debris and garbage from frontage, culverts, and retention zones.
• Perform general site beautification tasks including painting railings, curbs, and columns.
• Assist with seasonal and intermittent tasks such as pressure washing and exterior window cleaning.

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in forklift operation.
• Experience in sanitation, custodial, housekeeping, or general labor.
• Ability to operate a sit-down forklift.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Must be able to operate a forklift.
• Basic computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office.
• Previous experience in waste management or related field is a plus but not required.

Compensation:

• $18 per hour + $500 Attendance and $1,000 Retention Bonuses

Shift:

Monday-Thursday 6am - 4:30pm

Friday 6am - 2:30pm

Saturdays 6am-2:30pm (Occasional)
