POSITION DESCRIPTION

Join the innovative Crop Sensing Group, a dynamic interdisciplinary team composed of USDA-ARS and UC Davis experts. We seek an enthusiastic Junior Specialist to contribute to our groundbreaking Crop Sensing science and technology research. This role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of agricultural technology, working on projects that span from leaf-level studies to regional satellite remote sensing.

RESEARCH (90%)

PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE & ACTIVITY (5%)

UNIVERSITY & PUBLIC SERVICE (5%)
The candidate will assist in recruiting, training, and researching undergraduate students. Training will include basic field methods, techniques, and equipment use. Subject to funding availability, the candidate will present at regional meetings and/or national conferences.

Work Environment:

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

B.S. in Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, Agroecology, Environmental Science, Ecology, Hydrology, Soil Science, Plant Science, or related fields.
