Position Description

Tacoma Power's Power Management division is looking for a Customer Energy Solutions Intern to join their team.

The Customer Energy Solutions (CES) Intern will assist Tacoma Power in delivering value to its customers and the community through conservation programs, energy education and outreach at community events. The efforts this position will assist with include, but are not limited to: reviewing processes and recommending improvements to increase efficiencies and program participation, engaging with customers participating in conservation programs, and at community events; giving presentations to community groups like neighborhood councils and environmental clubs; reviewing rebate applications for eligibility.

Responsibilities Include:

Qualifications

Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.

Enrolled in vocational school, community college, four-year college or university, graduate student or a recent graduate who has completed a degree from an accredited college/university within the last year.

Other Employment Information

Direct Deposit: Employees are paid on a bi-weekly schedule by direct deposit.

Salary Increases: Based on satisfactory job performance, the City provides for a regular progression of salary increases for most classifications according to the salary schedule.

Union Affiliation: Many job classifications are covered by union security provisions which require union membership, dues, or payment of equivalent service fees.
