Job description

As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance for food products. You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control processes, overseeing regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This position requires a strong background in food safety, quality management systems, and a keen attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Quality Control:

    • Develop, implement, and manage quality control systems and processes to ensure the production of safe and high-quality food products.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes, raw materials, and finished products.
    • Implement and monitor HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) programs.
  2. Regulatory Compliance:

    • Stay abreast of relevant food safety regulations and standards.
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including FDA and other governing bodies.
    • Collaborate with regulatory agencies and auditors during inspections.
  3. Documentation and Record Keeping:

    • Establish and maintain comprehensive documentation related to quality assurance processes.
    • Monitor and analyze production records, testing results, and other relevant data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Prepare and maintain all necessary quality assurance reports.
  4. Supplier Quality Management:

    • Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain high-quality standards for incoming raw materials.
    • Conduct regular audits of suppliers to ensure adherence to quality specifications.
  5. Training and Development:

    • Provide training to production staff on quality standards, procedures, and regulations.
    • Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement among all employees.
  6. Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action:

    • Lead investigations into product quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conformances.
    • Implement corrective and preventive actions to address identified issues.
  7. Continuous Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in quality control procedures.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and enhance overall product quality.
