Who we’re looking for:

ROOMS DIVISON MANAGER

The Rooms Division Manager provides leadership to the Front Desk staff to ensure that all guests receive the highest level of service that is consistent with the philosophy of Pineapple Hospitality. The Rooms Division Manager is also responsible for ensuring that the operation of the housekeeping and laundry department provides all guests with quality service and a clean and safe environment during their stay at the hotel.

What to expect:

Here are a few things that will make your days full and rewarding:

  1. Supervising, coaching, mentoring and monitoring front desk and housekeeping staff.
  2. Ensure that all calls for housekeeping service, room assignments, and related housekeeping activities are completed in a timely manner.
  3. Ensure that the Housekeeping and Laundry department operate within budgetary parameters.
  4. Compile and report any damage, repair needs, safety or maintenance issues to the maintenance department or the General Manager.
  5. Ensure positive guest service in all areas. Respond to complaints, taking appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests
  6. Interviewing, hiring and training staff in accordance with SOP standards.
  7. Preparing performance reviews and providing assessment of team members’ performance and development. Providing ongoing coaching and feedback to make sure every single person is no less than awesome at their job.
  8. Monitoring overtime and payroll costs, department costs and assisting with preparation of budgets.

Your experience and qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. One to three years of related experience.
  3. Demonstrated ability to lead and contribute to a collaborative and diverse team dynamic.
  4. Working knowledge of Opera PMS preferred.
  5. Ability to quickly assess situations and create effective resolutions to problems.
  6. Possess a passion to provide excellent customer service.
  7. Proficient at fulfilling requests in a thorough and timely manner.
  8. Excellent verbal and written business communication skills.
