Katzen Eye Group is searching for a patient focused Full Time Ophthalmic Technician for our Lutherville office with travel to our Mercy Medical Center and Rosedale, Md. office locations and be willing to work at least 1 Saturday approx. every 6 weeks. Our preferred Candidates would be Certified Ophthalmic Assistants or Technicians. However, we have a strong training program and will consider medical assistants in other specialities as well as candidates with backgrounds in customer service related fields with good employment tenure.

The Ophthalmic Technician will perform a range of duties which include preparing the patient to see Ophthalmologist and/or Optometrist and conduct preliminary exam and captures medical history. In addition, the preparation of examination and treatment rooms, performing basic and routine vision screening examinations, administering eye medications, cleaning, and maintaining ophthalmic instruments and assisting physicians during minor surgical and laser procedures may be required. Travel to other locations may also be necessary to support clinical needs.
