Job description
Metal manufacturing company located in Westminster, CO is actively hiring a bookkeeper/accountant for a full time position, responsible for accounts payable and receivable, packs slipping and other account functions, including but not limited to:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Resolve discrepancy issues – Escalate to Controller when needed
- Enter invoices into QuickBooks daily
- Prepare list for check run approval. Print Checks, Attach Stubs to Invoice/Pack Slip/PO
- Make loan payments, calculate interest.
- Apply Deposits
- Assist Customers with invoice issues and escalate to president & controller when needed
- Escalate issues to President & Controller when needed
- Make copies of checks for checks deposited
- Assist in the prep of Revenue Excise Tax filing
- Timesheets – first review of time cards, supplemental adjustments, and complete spreadsheet
- Check ordering, bank deposit slips and stop payments
- Process all completed parts and orders, both stock and customer, as requested
- Allocate pack slips by requested shipping dates
- Archive Accounts Payable files, customer files, Banking and Finances, and mark boxes accordingly
Qualifications
- Familiarity with regulations, compliance, bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
- Competency in Microsoft Office, databases and accounting software
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
- Data entry and word processing skills
- Familiar with relevant tax documents
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years relevant experience
- 2-4 Years Manufacturing Accounting
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Occasionally stand up, walk, and lift.
