Who we’re looking for:

 

This position is responsible for overall referral, admissions, coordination, and maintenance of the administrative functions for assessments. This individual will oversee the quality and timeliness of assessments, and the tracking and reporting accurate referral information. This position requires considerable contact with internal and external referral sources and the County. Work is performed with considerable independence and in accordance with established regulations, policies, and procedures. Work is reviewed and supervised by the Program Director, to whom this individual reports.

Your responsibilities in this role may include:

  1. Direct day to day functioning of Assessment Unit.
  2. Knowledge of daily census of region’s programs.
  3. Responsible for developing and maintaining efficient assessment procedure.
  4. Oversee client and paper flow between Assessment Unit and programs.
  5. Act as a liaison with the internal and external referral sources.
  6. Know criteria for all referral sources.
  7. Be proficient in assessment tools (i.e., PCPC, etc.)
  8. Ensure appropriate referrals are made to programs.
  9. Ensure accurate, up to date assessment records, records of referral and funding sources.
  10. Establish and maintain positive relationships with funding, referral, and regulatory agencies.
  11. Other duties as defined by the Unit Unique Job Descriptions.

Qualifications for this role:

Education/Training: Degree from an accredited college with a major in: Psychology, Sociology, Behavioral Health, Social Work.

Experience: Master’s Degree + 2 years; Bachelor’s Degree + 3 years; Associate degree + 4 years

All experience must reflect direct services with drug and alcohol/mental health population
