Optimization Architect

Job description

The Optimization Architect is the subject matter expert in all technical functions, communications, interfaces, and technologies that support the operations within the Revenue Cycle arenas. The Architect is responsible for ensuring all patients, employees and affiliates have the tools and resources to effectively progress through the revenue cycle. Monitoring, supporting, troubleshooting and resolutions include all IT functions, including but not limited to interface connectivity between Vendor Partners, CCL programming, writing and optimizing operations jobs, server cycling, network printing of bands and NAH-wide project support.

Technical
* Serve as an escalation point for IT on all non-Cerner Revenue Cycle applications and completes all operational maintenance for the Revenue Cycle Department in a timely fashion.

* Build audit queries, ops jobs, and technologies to support a predictive and efficient revenue cycle.

* Complete Cerner build work or oversees Cerner's efforts to structure User Interfaces that support the clinical work flows.


Communication
* Communicate compassionately to all levels of the organization regarding application issues.

* Listen to and comprehend issues from all individuals within NAH as it relates to technical or work flow gaps in revenue cycle.


Task Management
* Internally driven to complete tasks on time.

* Ability to manage assigned tasks and projects and complete on schedule.

* Work as a collaborative team member to complete projects and tasks holistically.
Continual Improvement
* Continuously identify opportunities for optimization.

* Ability to serve as a SME for the entire revenue cycle.

* Intrinsic motivation to continuously expand knowledge base.


Compliance/Safety
* Responsible for reporting any safety-related incident in a timely fashion through the Midas/RDE tool; attends all safety-related training programs; performs work in a safe manner; monitors work environment for possible safety issues and ensures others are also performing work in a safe manner.

* Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employee's area of responsibility.

* If required for the position, ensures all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates.

* Completes all company mandatory modules and required job-specific training in the specified time frame.

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems or related field, or equivalent experience- Required

Master's Degree in Computer information or related field- Preferred


Certification & Licensures
CRCR or other HFMA Certifications- Preferred


Experience
A minimum of five years IT experience- Required

A minimum of three years healthcare information technology/informatics experience- Required

Cerner EMR technical support such as CPM, BOS, or Revenue Cycle- Required

CCL/SQL query writing experience- Preferred
