What You'll Be Doing:
Receive assignments from attorneys and manage e-portal filings.
Designate paralegal as e-portal sender and recipient.
Communicate with clients and schedule appointments for existing clients.
Participate in weekly meetings to discuss case status and outstanding assignments.
Manage calendars efficiently.

Family Law Litigation:
Apply Florida Family Law Rules of Procedure.
Review incoming and outgoing e-portal filings for accuracy and attachments.
Prepare responses and motions as directed by attorneys.
Schedule hearings and coordinate dates with the court and opposing counsels.
Prepare and issue subpoenas.
Follow up on subpoenas and obtain copies from opposing counsels.
Prepare folders and exhibits for depositions, hearings, and trials.
Review and save all discovery received.
Compare Financial Affidavits, Answers to Interrogatories, Certificates of Compliance, and mandatory discovery for discrepancies.
Prepare discovery deficiency lists.
Prepare client Financial Affidavits, mandatory discovery, answers to interrogatories, and other discovery responses.
Prepare client Certificate of Compliance.
Prepare documents for final hearings.
Forward necessary documents to QDRO preparer.

Other Family Law Matters:
Assemble documents and prepare exhibits for prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.
Create forms.
Download case law and provide to opposing counsels and court upon attorney's direction.
Prepare documents required for cases, such as Quitclaim Deeds or Insurance Limited Powers of Attorney.
Work on custody, paternity, and cohabitation agreements as directed by attorney.

Other Litigation:
Perform similar tasks for civil and commercial litigation (predominantly civil and commercial, no tort litigation unless ancillary to civil litigation).
