Ethicon, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies is recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst supporting Ethicon's Portfolio of NPIs (New Product Introductions) and Ethicon R&D's Scientific Affairs team. This role reports to the Senior Finance Manager for Global Ethicon.

This position leads the Ethicon Pipeline Valuation cycles, Portfolio Prioritization and financial planning, forecasting, and reporting of the Ethicon Scientific Affairs R&D budget. This role allows for a high level of autonomy, creativity, visibility, and partnership.
Responsibilities include but not limited to: - The successful candidate will be Ethicon's Core Pipeline Finance leader; setting valuation standards and key priorities throughout NPI valuation cycles. Through strong R&D and finance relationships the candidate will independently manage consolidations to achieve strong results for Ethicon.
- Ethicon's Portfolio Prioritization leader; partners across all Ethicon business platforms of the Innovation Portfolio, and analyzes current and future Ethicon investment needs and growth outlook in support of defining and delivering optimal investment allocation strategy to meet near and long-term growth objectives. This role consolidates critical Portfolio metrics, drives prioritization across innovation, develops decks for Senior Leadership reviews, and partners with Senior Leaders to frame and drive strategy.
- The successful candidate will be Ethicon's Business Unit Finance leader for Ethicon's Scientific Affairs team; closely partnering with Clinical, Pre-Clinical, and Medical Affairs R&D teams to drive strategy in support of pipeline and in-market innovations, deliver strong budgetary results in forecast cycles (BP, JU, NU) and quarter close, manage the LRFP process, and own deck development and delivery of financial reviews with the Leadership Team.
- Provide robust, consistent and timely financial reporting to drive transparency to senior leadership and support ad hoc projects and requests needed for Business and Finance Leadership.
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required; a major in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- A CPA, MBA or CMA is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of finance experience is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office with advanced excel and presentation skills is required.
- Previous experiences with TM1, SAP, COGNOS, etc. is strongly preferred.
- The candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter who can independently partner across different levels of the organization to recommend solutions.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail is required.
- The ability to think creatively and work in a team environment is required.
- Individual must work well in a dynamic environment and be able to recommend and implement improvements to ways of working.
- This position will be located in Raritan, NJ and may require up to 10% travel
The base pay range for this position is $73,000 - $117,300
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
