ClearChoiceMD Urgent Care, an Emergence Health Holdings organization, is building a team of professionals dedicated to meeting all the needs of the community, from infant to elders, school to industry and everywhere in between. Our centers are open (7) days per week 8AM to 8PM. The hours for this position are (3) 12-hour shifts 8AM to 8PM with rotating every other weekend. Successful candidates joining our TEAM will be eligible for: - Outstanding Benefits with company paid Short Term Disability and life insurance

A typical day in the life of a Medical Assistant/Registration, includes:
- Collaborating with other staff members to ensure patient care
- Obtaining accurate demographic and insurance information then verifying insurance coverage for all patients
- Ensuring all registration fields are filled in completely and scanned into the patient’s chart
- Preparing patients for examination, IV/Blood draw, ECG, office diagnostic testing
- Taking and recording vital signs and medical histories
- Perform phlebotomy and laboratory paperwork
- Assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals
- X-ray preparation, assisting with splinting/wound care and assisting in administering medications as directed by physician.
- Proven interpersonal skills to effectively and courteously deal with patients, families, clients, coworkers, clinical staff and physicians.
Education & Experience :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current AREMT certification
- 1-5 years of Medical Assistant or EMT Experience
- Previous Customer Service Experience
- No travel is expected for this position however, depending on the location, this position may work at more than one center.
