Position Summary:

The Mailing Operator I (MO1) operates an Inserter/Flowmaster machine for Direct Marketing Solutions (DMS), which entails inserting finished direct mail marketing product into envelopes, folded letters, calendars, and other basic to intermediate mailing material in accordance with operating instructions.

Essential Functions:

• Operates and maintains Inserter/Flowmaster machines to produce direct mail marketing pieces at approximately 5,000 pieces per hour.
• Trays, palletizes, and wraps completed product securely for shipment.
• Cleans up the workstation, refills trays and sleeves, and removes all remaining materials after each job.
• Performs simple setup jobs.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Completes additional assignments and special projects from the Mailing Supervisor as needed.
• Demonstrates behavior consistent with DMS Values and the Code of Conduct.
• Learns and adheres to all information technology and data security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
• Learns and adheres to DMS rules and established policies for workplace health and safety.
• Adheres to all other DMS policies and procedures.
• Completes all required compliance training on time and in good faith.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least six months' direct mail or print experience preferred
• Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of warehouse/production procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good problem-solving skills and basic computer skills
• Strong math skills with the ability to use basic measurement tools

Physical Demands:

This position involves frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of objects up to 25 lbs. in weight and occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of objects up to 50 lbs. in weight. Employees are on their feet for extended periods of time and moving constantly. This position also involves constant handling of direct mail product and frequent reaching outwards or above the shoulders.

Schedule Options:

• Nights: Sunday-Thursday from 9:00pm-6:00am

Pay: Competitive rates with additional pay for night shift
