Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Course in Bedford, Massachusetts is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.
Position Overview:
The position with the direction of the general manager, run inside services, outside services, tournament execution, league execution, memberships and utilize hours on the counter and keeping up with the customer service expectations of the club.
Essential Responsibilities:
• The position shall devote most of his/her business time, attention, and energies to the performance of duties as Asst. Professional at the Club during the term of this Agreement. He shall always conduct himself and in all matters by the standards accepted for golf professionals and established by the PGA and acceptable to the Club.
• The position shall cooperate with members of the Club, guests and
render professional advice, opinions, assistance, and services as required.
• The position shall always ensure compliance with the clubs’ policies by all staff,
members, and guests of the club.
• Plan, Execute, and/or run all internal and external outings, tournaments, and leagues. To include
managing the golf genius tournament software.
• Manage all Point of Sale (club prophet) actions including the scheduling of tee times, rates, reports, POS system-generated financials, Passes, Gift Card programs, Pace of Play, Member Billing, etc.
• Recruit, train, motivate, schedule, and supervise all golf department staff. Ensure all staff including Outside Staff are in line with expectations.
• Adhere to all Club policies and procedures and provide support, development, and disciplinary actions if applicable.
• Schedule staff meetings with golf operation personnel at a minimum monthly.
• Review all safety procedures and ensure staff, members and guests always maintain the club’s dress code.
• Oversee all outside services including but not limited to starters and rangers, golf cart fleet, practice facility.
• Develop, and provide an enhanced golf instruction program offering individual and group clinics for all levels.
• Work with the Finance Lead, Golf Course Superintendent and Food and Beverage Manager in all applicable areas.
• Manage end-to-end plans for the following items; Membership renewals, Season Golf Passes, Cart passes.
• Analyze and monitor financial statements, and review income and expenses relative to plans, implement corrective measures as needed, and report status on a monthly basis.
• Manage and execute golf marketing initiatives including all promotional materials, play recruitment, and outside events plus the promotion of new golf memberships with the support of the Director of Golf.
• The position shall be under the supervision of, and directly responsible to, the General manager.
Requirements:
Must have at least 2 yars in the golf business.
Compensation:
$20.00 – $24.00 per hour.
