Job description
As a systems engineer on our team, you’ll have the chance to assess and evaluate combat weapon systems using computer-based analytical tools, including Excel, Matlab, and the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, or Modeling (AFSIM) analytical framework. Your technical expertise will be vital as you evaluate and modernize combat weapon systems. You’ll develop your skills in critical thinking, data analytics, and operations analysis while gaining experience in constructive modeling and simulation of combat operations. You Have:
- Experience with scenario development and performing analytical assessments of combat weapon systems using mission-level constructive simulation tools, including AFSIM, Suppressor, ITASE, or NGTS
- Experience with a variety of COTS and GOTS M&S and data science tools, including Matlab, C++, Perl, or Python to manipulate data between different formats and perform post-processing of data
- Knowledge of U.S. and foreign combat weapon systems, including aircraft and ground-based air defense systems
- Ability to apply Operational Analysis principles, theories, and concepts to execute study plans and analysis matrices
- Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with developing AFSIM scripts to customize model behaviors and decisions within an analytical scenario
- Ability to analyze large amounts of raw model output to identify key drivers
- Ability to distill, summarize, and articulate complex technical insights and findings
- TS/SCI clearance
