Job description
The Calendar Software Engineering team is seeking an experienced senior manager to lead a dedicated team of engineers in revolutionizing the way our customers experience and manage their time. In this role, you’ll have the rare & rewarding opportunity to own one of the most used 1st party applications on our platform and help craft a product that enhances the lives of everyone who uses Apple products.
Key Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience leading native application and/or framework teams
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality native applications
- Demonstrable passion for solving the challenges of time management and/or personal productivity for our customers
- Deep knowledge of Objective-C, AppKit, UIKit and SwiftUI
- Strong software engineering skills and can act as an arbitrator for tough technical debates
- Experience with UI development, Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines, threading, data structures, performance, and battery life
- You care about helping others grow in their careers at Apple
- History of hiring and mentoring a diverse team of engineers

Description
You will work collaboratively with our world-class engineering teams, partner with designers, and coordinate with other teams at Apple, including iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and visionOS teams. This position requires deep knowledge of Objective-C, AppKit, UIKit and SwiftUI. You must be comfortable with rapidly evolving designs and requirements, and have excellent interpersonal skills.
You’ll be encouraged to push the envelope on innovation. To ship compelling designs at the very edge of what’s technically possible. To challenge your engineers, peers, manager, and various senior org leaders to push things forward. You’ll have a voice in the room as critical decisions are made that will affect, impact, and improve the day-to-day lives of countless individuals.
Education & Experience
BS or higher in CS/CE or equivalent work experience

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $210,900.00 and $364,100.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
