Position Description:
Harvard University Department of Mathematics and the Center of Mathematical Sciences and Applications ( CMSA ) seeks to appoint a tenured professor to serve as Director for the CMSA . The CMSA is the main component of broad scientific outreach for Mathematics at Harvard. We seek candidates with significant accomplishments in mathematics and a record of experience with the interaction between pure mathematics and its applications in science and engineering. The faculty appointment will reside in the Department of Mathematics.
In addition to directing the CMSA , successful candidates will be expected to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and engage in an innovative research program.

Basic Qualifications:
Candidates are required to have a doctorate
Additional Qualifications:
We are looking for established scientific leaders that exhibit the skills needed to run an independent research center. In addition, a demonstrated strong commitment to teaching and research is desired. Candidates should also evince intellectual leadership and impact on their field and potential for significant contributions to the department, University, and wider scholarly community.
