About the role:
Boston Scientific is seeking a highly motivated person to join the Production Training and Development Team. This role conducts training for certified production trainers, hosts weekly new hire orientation, and supports Operations to ensure training compliance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Serve as a role model and resource to trainers while ensuring adherence to the training policies
- Facilitate weekly new hire orientation classes (20+ participants per class)
- Assist the team in administrative preparation for weekly new hire orientation classes
- Facilitate monthly train-the-trainer courses (20+ participants per class) to develop Production employees’ ability to effectively train others on the floor
- Participate in all phases of trainer development including trainer evaluations
- Partner with Production Supervisors to develop and certify production trainers
- Participate in developing the strategy for BSC Operations training practices and policies
- Participate in projects to continuously improve training programs
- Develop and deliver training based on business needs (i.e. PowerPoint, partner with internal customers to create course material as needed)
- Rapidly respond to, investigate, and resolve line impacting training issues/errors
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent certification
- Minimum of three years manufacturing experience which includes one of those years being a certified production trainer
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft office-word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Passion for training, coaching, and mentoring others
- Ability and willingness to adapt to continuous change while maintaining a positive outlook
- Self-Motivated
- Positive, ‘can-do’ approach
- Core hours Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, understanding that the role will require some schedule flexibility. A detailed 40 hour work-week schedule will be finalized between Manager and candidate. Candidate must work onsite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience facilitating training courses in an Operations setting
- Prior responsibility for maintaining and improving training course content
- Proficient in navigating and maintaining Excel documents
- Working knowledge of MES and TRS
- Knowledge in Windchill navigation
