Position Summary/Description:
This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the HR Consultant for one or more departments within the Gillings School of Global Public Health ( SPH ) as well as backup for the other departments within SPH . The position acts as the first point of contact for one or more departments providing the full spectrum of HR service to SPH Faculty and Staff. The position also operates as an HR Team Member for the Gillings School of Global Public Health HR Shared Services Team that provides SPH school-wide HR service. They will serve as a team member in collaborative team decision making processes and support other HR consultants as needed to provide seamless customer service across the school and university.Education and Experience:
* Knowledge of Appointment, Promotions, & Tenure process/tracking.
* Knowledge of ConnectCarolina, CarolinaTalent, lnfoPorte and UNC TIM .
* Thorough knowledge of UNC Polices & Procedures for both SHRA & EHRA classifications.
* Prior experience in the higher education setting is highly preferred but not required.
