Career Transitions is engaged with a leading innovator in their respected industry and due to rapid growth are looking to add a dynamic Staff Accountant to their team.
What you are doing as an Accountant:
· Execute month-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
· Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
· Oversee the accounting and tracking of fixed assets, including depreciation schedules and reconciliation of fixed asset accounts.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate recording of fixed asset acquisitions, disposals, and transfers.
· Work closely with the manufacturing team to analyze production costs, assess variances, and provide insights to improve cost efficiency.
· Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal and external reporting purposes.
· Contribute to the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
· Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
· Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the accounting and finance functions.
What you need as an Accountant:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
· 2 years of accounting experience.
· Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
· Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
