Job description

The primary purpose of the Coordinator, Procurement is to provide technical and financial expertise in the Divisional procurement functions using both UTMDACC and UTHealth systems and acts as a department liaison with vendors and institutional procurement and accounting departments.

Provides administrative support to the contract management function by providing stakeholders the resources needed to ensure goods and services are acquired by the method that provides the best value for the institution.

Works collaboratively with Sourcing partners and Buyers to process contract requests, including the preparation of exclusive acquisition justifications. In partnership with the Sr Financial Analyst and under the direction of the Associate Department Administrator, tracks fully executed contracts, initiates the contract renewal process, and maintains contract portfolio reporting.

Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

Education Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration.

Experience Required: Six years in a general business environment experience. With preferred degree, two years of experience in a general business environment is required.
