Summary

Opening in late 2024, the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is in the famed Deer Valley ski resort and approximately 40 minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport.  The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is part of a new development, planned to incorporate 17 ski lifts, ±1,600 residential units, 8 hotels with a total of ±1,350 rooms, ±250,000 square feet of conference and retail space, and one of the largest “ski beaches” in the world.

The Grand Hyatt is comprised of 387 rooms, inclusive of approximately 40 suites with approximately 25,900 square feet of net indoor meeting space, lobby level 3-meal restaurant and bar, signature bar, pool/apres ski bar and grill, coffee bistro, large outdoor event terrace, pool and whirlpool, kids club, and fitness area. In addition to the Hotel, there will be 55 condominium residences.

As a member of the properties Executive Committee, the Director of Revenue Management is a highly visible role with exposure to Senior and Corporate leadership. This position reports to the hotel General Manager.

The Director of Revenue Management is responsible for maximizing overall hotel revenue for rooms and food and beverage through the implementation of effective pricing and distribution strategies in large hotels. Out-perform direct competitors by winning market share with rational and competitive pricing, distribution strategy backed by targeted marketing, and careful management hotel inventory to maximize topline revenue and yield high net profits.  Manage and oversee revenue management analytic functions to produce reporting that support and evaluate hotel business strategies.  Provide guidance and support sales and marketing initiatives that are targeted to meet the needs of the hotel.  Produce accurate revenue forecasts that help set hotel goals and outgrow the competition.  Display leadership qualities that mentor, develop, and guide hotel team members such as revenue analysts and managers.

Qualifications

-Minimum of 5 years of experience in revenue management field within the hospitality industry, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and optimizing profitability.

-Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations based on findings.

-Proficiency in revenue management systems (RMS), property management systems (PMS), and distribution channels. Hyatt systems experience preferred but not required.

-Excellent understanding of market dynamics, competitor activities, and customer preferences in the hospitality industry. 

-Demonstrated ability to develop and implement pricing strategies, inventory management tactics, and promotional campaigns to maximize revenue potential.

-Proven experience in forecasting revenue, preparing accurate forecasts, and evaluating performance against set targets.

-Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations.
