DESCRIPTION
The DPS team is responsible for minimizing the risk that Amazon will engage in business with a Denied Party or individual or entity located in or affiliated with the government of a sanctioned country or region. To that end, we have large teams of investigators and support functions (Quality and Training) around the world (Cairo, Dubai, Bengaluru, Tokyo, Seattle), as well as teams specialized in Compliance, Software Engineering, Controls and Audit, Onboarding, and more, based in Seattle, Arlington, and Iasi (Romania).
The DPS Quality Compliance Team is responsible for ensuring that Denied Party and Sanctions screening investigations are carried out in accordance with internal standards and policies, monitoring and ensuring the accuracy of Sanctions investigations through audits and recommending process improvements based on defect analysis.
The Sr Quality Compliance Analyst develops and maintains various aspects of the DPS Quality Program, including new and existing Quality tools, conducts audits and secondary audits through the dispute resolution process and leads process improvement projects based on defect trends from audit outputs. In addition to auditing and conducting root cause analysis, the Senior Quality Compliance Analyst is expected to validate and implement the recommended corrective action, including initiating change management on process gaps and tool deficiencies. The Senior Quality Compliance Analyst is required to lead meeting sand communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing. This includes writing documents for distribution to senior stakeholders with little oversight from Senior Managers. In addition to being a Subject Matter Expert in at least two investigative tiers or processes, the Senior Quality Compliance Analyst owns end-to-end management of at least one DPS Quality work stream, as well as the relationship with at least one partner team on a given process or work stream. A Senior Quality Compliance Analyst possesses superior interpersonal skills, a proactive approach to work, resourcefulness and a focus on the execution of deliverables, in addition to competency in dealing with ambiguity, continuous innovation and vocal self- criticism.
Key job responsibilities
* Audit, track, maintain and report out on Denied Party and Sanctions Screening investigations
* Analyze and provide objective, actionable feedback based on the trends surfaced, support process improvements and report on emerging trends
* Perform root cause analysis on trending defects and make recommendations to partners on corrective action
* Act as point of contact for process and quality related queries
* Produce business and stakeholder correspondence as needed
* Maintain and develop Sanctions Compliance process subject matter expertise
* Liaise with the partners in Operations, Compliance and Tech business teams to achieve business goals assigned
* Build Quality technical requirements
* Establish and maintain data integrity of Quality Program data

About the team
The goals of the DPS QA Program are twofold: 1) to monitor and assess the health of the overall DPS program in an effort to mitigate Amazon’s risk exposure and 2) to monitor the progress of individual investigators against targets, providing them with the support and mentorship needed to allow them to achieve their full potential as investigators.
