Job description
Our R&D office is located in the Portland, OR area. We have a light, quiet, and modern work environment in a recently remodeled 44,000 sq. ft. facility with a fully stocked breakroom, indoor vertical bike racks, and walking/biking trails right next door. We are seeking an experienced, personable professional to oversee the daily operations of our office.
Your tasks
- Greet visitors and ensure that the highest level of hospitality is provided to everyone
- Issue purchase orders, track order status, and interface with vendors/suppliers
- Responsible for the general security of the building
- Be available at all times to respond to requests from employees regarding facility problems and be responsive to suggestions
- Responsible as first responder regarding alarms, spills, facility needs; takes responsibility to contact outside contractors or building maintenance in a timely manner
- Maintain an orderly front office area, kitchen areas, and conference rooms
- Sort and distribute all incoming mail and small packages daily
- Keep inventory stocked for all kitchen and office supplies
- Coordinate, order, and set up snacks, beverages, and lunches (including setup and clean up) for various meetings
- Handle shipping and receiving activities. Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds

- Experience with ERP systems (i.e. SAP) is a plus
- Skilled with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Three + years of office management experience and purchasing experience

This is a full-time hourly position with a total compensation target range of $20-34 per hour, plus overtime and benefits. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
