Performing Electrical wiring and assembly of large industrial control panels . Candidates must be able to read/understand wiring schematics and diagrams (point to point wiring) . Experience with crimping, pulling, terminating, wiring between 12 v - 480v 3 phase electrical systems, and installing electrical harness and sub assemblies.
Responsibilities of the role:
Perform electrical panel control wiring assembly of customer products.
Perform wiring of up to 480v using (ranging from 12v, 24v, 120v, 240v,and 480v)
Proficient knowledge of electrical switchgear, three phase electrical power installations.
Read and interpret schematics, wiring schedules, and point to point diagrams
Pulling, crimping, terminating wiring on electrical harnesses, sub-assemblies, and installation and wiring control panels.
Perform testing using multi meter, voltmeter, and ohmmeters
Resolves routine questions and problems, referring more complex issues to higher levels
Ensure that assigned area is clean and organized per 5S standards
Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
Journeyman electrician or equivalent experience
Experience with electrical switchgear, three phase electrical power, and pulling, crimping, and termination of wiring
Electrical certifications (i.e. Journeyman, NEC, NFPA, and Medium voltage certified) strongly preferred
Pay Rate: $42 per hour (no JM card)
Pay Rate: $46 per hour (JM card - any state can be accepted)
Highly proficient with electrical switchgear, three phase power systems, and pulling, crimping, terminating wire.
Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to interpret blueprints , graphs, schematics, and diagrams.
Details pertaining to specific role:
- Unit size: 8 to 10 feet tall by 16 - 20 feet in length - very large intricate units.
- Each unit takes approximately 5 weeks from ground to complete - installing over 5,000 wires, point to point testing throughout installation, and based on client order (blueprints will vary based on client).
- Expectation will be to have units wired, tested for compliance, then move to next section and begin process over.
