OFFERING SIGN-ON BONUS OF $1500.00
Summary
This position is responsible for managing inventory which includes receiving of incoming and outgoing orders. This person will be expected to keep track of the goods and supplies in our warehouse and manage, organize, and categorize parts to ensure an easy and smooth functioning area for pulling parts when various areas need them. Assist the shipping/receiving supervisor when needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Daily, assure parts are accurately pulled and available to productions teams in an on-time manner
- Work closely with production leads, supervisors and management to assure on time delivery of parts to production floor.
- Operate forklift, overhead crane, or boom crane to move tanks, trailers and parts for the lanes as needed.
- Measure and weigh packages in preparation for bill of lading, invoicing
- Inspect incoming and outgoing goods for quality issues.
- Transfer products, objects, molds or parts to specified work areas as needed.
- Directs and coordinates plant operations within company policies and procedures
- Maintains a clean, organized and safe working environment in the plant and yard.
- Perform tasks such as cycle counts, inventory control and shelf stocking.
- Assists in training new staff.
- Work with other team members loading or unloading parts from trucks.
- Shares industry and company information in the development of workers
- Immediately address any inventory/parts issues and work to resolve these issues in a timely manner
- Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store).
- Provides oversight, reporting to Plant Manager any issues in a timely manner
- Practice safe work habits, maintain safe work environment and exemplify safety to team
- Assists in day-to-day general production as needed.
Qualifications:
- Willingness to learn and receive on the job training.
- Willingness to share information in the job training process.
- Work alone with minimal direction or as part of a team.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Relate basic math skills to perform job duties and solve problems
- Identify and interpret specification sheets
- Good communication skills
- Proficiency in inventory software databases and systems
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous warehouse or inventory experience required.
- Forklift Operator
Physical Demands:
- Lift up to 20 pounds overhead
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Stand on concrete floor up to 10 hours per day
- Periodic bending, climbing, stretching, twisting, or reaching with arms and legs
- Capable of wearing personal protective equipment including a respirator, dust mask, ear plugs, and eye protection
- Exhibit dexterity and stamina to perform physical labor
