Job description
A leading player in the manufacturing industry is seeking a Senior ABAP Developer to develop specs on multiple SAP modules and ensure they are supported and their integration points with other systems are aligned with the SAP roadmap.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance custom Workflow, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms (WRICEFs) in SAP.
- Provide technical expertise in ABAP, including ABAP Objects, Smart Forms, and Adobe Forms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure SAP modules align with the SAP roadmap and integrate seamlessly with other systems.
- Lead technical initiatives in IT environments.
- Develop outbound/inbound ABAP interfaces using IDOCs, BAPIs, RFCs, and flat files.
- Participate in SAP upgrade and migration projects.
- Support SAP cloud solutions like C4C, CPS, and IBP.
- Familiarity with SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, or other SAP front-end technologies.
- Maintain an understanding of SAP infrastructure, Basis, security concepts, and best practices.
Requirements:
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- 10+ years of experience in technical development roles.
- Proficient in SAP S/4 Hana 2021 and combined with older versions, including ECC.
- SAP ABAP certification.
- Strong knowledge of SAP modules and integration points (FI/CO, SD, MM, QM, PP, PP/DS).
- Expertise in ABAP, ABAP Objects, Smart Forms, and Adobe Forms.
- Proficiency in SAP development tools (ABAP Workbench, Data Dictionary, Debugger).
- Experience in developing and enhancing custom WRICEFs.
Plusses:
- Technical leadership skills in IT environments.
- Four full cycle implementations or more (from blueprint to go-live).
- O365 Microsoft tools.
- SAP upgrade and migration experience.
- Experience with ITIL concepts and processes.
- SAP Basis and security understanding.
- Knowledge of SAP infrastructure.
- Experience providing support for SAP cloud solutions (C4C, CPS, IBP).
- Familiarity with SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, or other SAP front-end technologies.
- HANA DB or Oracle knowledge for SAP applications.
- Experience supporting FIORI Gateway, TM servers, and databases.
- Knowledge in cloud applications on BTP and the ability to build UI applications using Business Application Studio (BAS).
