The Recruiting & Onboarding Specialist is responsible for WSL’s talent acquisition including recruiting and successfully onboarding new employees. Handles sensitive and confidential information with diplomacy, discretion and with the strictest of confidence.
As a Recruiting & Onboarding Specialist, a typical day might include the following:
- Collaborate with Hiring Managers weekly to determine staffing needs and job descriptions.
- Source and attract candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, networking, other community events, and referrals.
- Be open and gain familiarity with Company’s applicant tracking system, Indeed, and the utilization of local sourcing options, i.e. job fairs, etc. Extends outreach to the outside community and without hesitation, strives for a solid networking forum and nurtures this network weekly to keep a strong pulse on the market. Comfortable learning new software systems in order to streamline current and ongoing processes.
- Screen resumes, ensure job applications have been complete prior to conducting initial interviews to assess candidates qualifications and fit. Coordinate and schedule interviews with Hiring Managers.
- The ability to negotiate and make initial job offers, prepare all appointments for the candidate, initiate federal, county and NH state background checks while following through appropriately (either through onboarding of the candidate or delivering the appropriate pre-adverse requirements), complete new hire checklist and monitor progress prior to their start date. Good communication on the candidate’s progress should be shared with the HR Manager and hiring manager for seamless onboarding of candidate.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, including the coordination of their entire one/two-day new hire orientation, all applicable paperwork, training coordination with the appropriate team members to ensure a smooth transition into their new position.
- Responsible for the coordination of all new hire orientations for all WSL and Volunteers
- Maintain accurate and organized records of recruitment, metrics and onboarding process.
- Ensures that the personnel files are up to date and compliant with the laws and regulations.
- Ensuring that all I-9’s are filed separately and are valid.
- Understands the importance of customer service to WSL and promotes the company’s core values to others.
- Attends ongoing educational webinars and participates in HR/Recruiting educational opportunities when available.
- Comfortable taking on projects and working independently.
- Must be able to collaborate well with residents, employees, and the entire WSL team.
- Remains interested in achieving a PHR or SHRM certification within a two-year period.
- Performs other duties as directed by Human Resources Manager.

Additional Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years current recruiting experience required, 2+ years’ experience as administrative assistant, or any type of HR experience. Healthcare experience preferred.
- Exceptional writing skills, MS Office, Outlook, and proficiency with varies software systems is a requirement.

Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday (Some weekends may be necessary)
