Job description

Nesco Resource is working with a growing client looking for a Data Governance Developer:

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement governance frameworks using IBM Cloud Pak for Data platform.

Design, develop, and deploy data quality routines for profiling, cleansing, standardization, and enrichment of data.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data governance requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Configure and customize IBM Cloud Pak for Data tools such as DataStage, and Data Catalog to support governance and data quality initiatives.

Conduct data assessments and audits to identify gaps in data governance and quality processes and propose remediation plans.

Monitor and maintain data quality metrics and KPIs and provide regular reports or Dashboards to stakeholders.

Create and Maintain data analysis jobs using IBM Information Analyzer.

Provide technical guidance and support to team members on data governance best practices and data quality methodologies.

Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to data governance and data quality management to incorporate with IBM products.

Participate in the evaluation and adoption of new tools and technologies to enhance data governance and data quality capabilities.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of data governance policies, standards, and procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field

Proven experience (3 years) working as a developer with a focus on IBM cloud Pak for data platform.

In-Depth understanding of data governance principles and practices.

Knowledge of SQL and database concepts.

Additional Requirements:

Relevant certifications in IBM Cloud Pak for Data or data governance/data quality management is Plus.

Familiarity with Watson Query tool and experience in utilizing its capabilities for data analysis and extraction.

Exposure to Watson AI technologies and understanding of how they can be integrated into data governance and data quality workflows is plus.

Hands-on experience with implementing AI-driven solutions for data classification, anomaly detection, or predictive analytics is plus.

Knowledge of Watson Studio for building and deploying machine learning models to enhance data quality assessment and improvement processes.

Ability to adapt and learn quickly, with a curiosity and enthusiasm for exploring innovative technologies such as Watson AI.

Demonstrated ability to stay updated on advancements in AI and machine learning is plus.
