What You Will Be Doing

-Provide technical direction to the organization for existing products and new product development.
-Interface with customers, internal staff and vendors, and then transform the information into an organized design plan that includes, among other items: drawings, specifications, regulatory compliance, and test procedures.
-Primarily designing Electronically Commutated (Brushless) motors (Single and Three Phase), as well as Permanent Magnet Brush DC, Shaded Pole and Permanent Split Capacitor induction motors.
-Contribute to research and development for new technologies, products, processes, and materials as required to ensure company growth and prosperity
-Help the Quality Group by establishing receiving inspection and first article acceptance, supporting technical supplier issues (new approvals and design related questions), establishing production control limits (Mod Sheets), and consulting on general process or workmanship issues.

What You Need for this Position

- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Associates Degree with equivalent work experience, and 7+ years of experience
- Proven mechanical and electrical design knowledge, skills, and problem-solving abilities
- Proven knowledge of Electronically Commutated (Brushless Single and Three Phase) magnetic motor design
- Working knowledge of controls and firmware as they relate to EC motors
- General computer literacy and proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, Autodesk (CAD)
- Working knowledge of Motor Design software such as Infolytica Motorsolve
