This is a part-time position with a maximum of 1,560 hours per year and is not eligible for paid holidays, leave, or benefits.

Job Description
This Case Manager is a part-time position that will be responsible for providing case management to citizens, conducting assessments, providing counseling to individuals and families, and preparing/maintaining reports and records.



Essential Duties

• Greeting and assisting the public at the Intake window and over the telephone
• Scheduling and meeting with families as necessary
• Providing crisis intervention to walk-in juveniles and families in highly emotional and volatile situations
• Evaluating living conditions in custody cases
• Performing basic office duties such as copying, faxing, and typing documents
• Maintaining files, forms, and various other documents

• Court testimony as needed

Other Job Requirements/Information

• This job is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule after an initial probationary period and individual approval.
• This job will require fingerprinting after hire.

Grade
The grade for this position is 97.



Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in criminal justice, social sciences, or related field
• Knowledge of general office procedures, knowledge of computer software applications
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualification

• Fluent in speaking Spanish

The 14 departments that make up the executive side are Police Services, Fire and Emergency Services, Corrections, Communications, Support Services, Financial Services, Community Services, Human Resources, Information Technology Services, Law, Planning and Development, Water Resources, Child Advocacy & Juvenile Services, and Transportation. Each department is run by a director who is charged with managing operations in a manner which stresses the County’s values.


In addition to the executive side of County government, certain services are provided through Constitutional officers and independent elected officials. These external offices are created by the Georgia Constitution or through state law. In Gwinnett, they include the Sheriff, Tax Commissioner, District Attorney, Solicitor, Probate Court Judge, and Chief Magistrate.
