Position Overview: This integral position within Imperial Supplies’ Marketing team will lead important growth initiatives for our fleet markets and customers. This position will lead research and data gathering process to generate insights and create marketing campaigns targeting broader fleet markets or specific fleet customers. The individual selected for this role will partner closely with multiple cross-functional areas including sales, marketing, ecommerce, analytics, and sales enablement to plan and execute marketing programs to meet goals. This manager will lead their market-focused business pillar, directly lead marketing specialist team members, and be a subject matter expert to internal and external stakeholders and will deliver excellence in planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities :
- In close partnership with sales, develop an understanding of customer strategy and identify the opportunities for customer-focused marketing activity and campaigns to drive growth and achievement of objectives. Serve as the marketing expert when meeting with customers and sales to plan and execute marketing activity and campaigns.
- Proactively researches third party data sources to identify market-focused insights and curate those insights to create new Market playbooks.
- Leverage market insights to identify marketing strategies, build marketing plans, and develop and coordinate implementation of marketing programs to drive new customer acquisition and revenue growth in key markets and with must win customers.
- Develop and communicate successes and best practices with sales to educate on scalability of successful executions/campaigns.
- Collaborate with key business functions (Sales, Marketing, Digital, Sales Enablement, Revenue Management, etc.) regarding development, execution, and strategic resource deployment and allocation for market and customer opportunities. Collaborate with Marketing, Digital and Sales Enablement teams to identify, develop and deploy market- and customer-focused marketing solutions.
- Recommend new processes as required for successful project management or implementation. Present updates, results, and recommendations for improvement to marketing leadership.
- Track initiatives and results progress through dashboards and communicate to broader marketing/digital and leadership teams. Analyze return on investment for deployed resources and/or deviations used to support critical projects.
- Serve as marketing liaison for sales as project-focused or general marketing questions arise. Trouble-shoot requests to ensure customer needs are met.
- Define and own budget to successfully build and implement market and customer marketing plans.
- Ensure communication for key project planning and executional elements between internal departments and with partners outside of Imperial, are achieved efficiently and effectively.
- Hire, direct and manage the activities of direct-report personnel to include leading, motivating, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations and discipline/terminations.
- Develop personal and team member skills and capabilities to drive professional growth, maximize contribution to the organization, and to achieve overall company goals.
Minimum Education and Experience: 4-year degree in Business Administration or related field and 6-8 years previous experience in marketing, sales, or related business field.
Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business administration is preferred. 8-10 years previous experience in marketing, sales, or related business field. Proven ability to develop strategic plans and influence without authority. Experience building lasting and growing relationships within and outside of organization to drive strategic priorities. Prefer experience in auto or fleet industry.

Travel: Some travel may be required as needed. No more than 2-6 trips annually.
